Rasheed Ismaila Omobolaji, known professionally as Sir BJ is a Nigerian Afrobeats singer, rapper and songwriter. His stage name pays homage to his mother and Dad, which means (S- Seyi) (I- Ismaila his Muslim name) (R- Rasheed his father’s name) and BJ the abbreviation of Bolaji.
He was born on 30th April, 1995 and raised in Lagos State. Rasheed Ismaila Omobolaji studied theater and Performing Arts at Adeniran Ogunsanya College Of Education now(Lagos State University of Education) with the subject combination of THEATRE ARTS YORUBA and was initially focused on his Music career.
He began releasing music around 2015 (ijo-ope) and in 2016 he dropped a single titled Jejely with an official video which was aired on several Radio stations and was acknowledged by Faaji FM (106.5), blending bright Afrobeat rhythms with his own mix of singing and nimble freestyling.
